Replace 686+ with 66-8 combat magnum??

When my wife turned 40 I told here I was going to trade her in for two 20 year olds. She smiled and told me I wasn't wired for 220.

Parting with the model 69 was never the question. It will stay, I really like that gun. Even thou the 686+ is the same frame and internals, but different caliber, I do not care for it. Can't really say why. I will likely obtain a 66-8 combat magnum and also keep the 686+, at least for awhile. If it becomes a safe queen I will find it a new home.

I wouldn't trade my 686 for a 66-anything. But I do plan on supplementing it with a 66-8 in the very near future.

If your M69 is a snubby then you've gotta get a M66-8 snubby to match. It's my only K-frame but it's a great shooting revolver, as is the M69.

I don't think you'll go wrong with a 66-8. It feels and carries much better for me than a short barrel 686.
