Hi,

I picked up a 627 PC late last year. It's a nice gun. The single action pull is good but the double action needs to be lightened up a bit.

Anyway, I'd like to replace the gold bead front sight with a plain black partridge sight.

What is the proper height for this model.

Are there any vendors that sell plain aftermarket sights. I wouldn't mind having one that was a little thinner than the standard size.

Thanks,
Dave

Smith and Wesson has many sight options for the IFS equipped revolvers listed right on their website. There is always SDM. Cylinder and Slide comes to mind. HiViz, but those are fiber optic. There are more, but at 2AM that is all the ones on the tip of my brain

Can't tell you which sight you have for sure since we do not know which 627 you have. The Performance Center built many different 627s over the last 16 years.

If you own a dial caliper or have a friend with one, you could just measure the one mounted on your firearm

Going on the guess that your 627 is the 5" (most common) odds are your front sight is a .250

Thank you very much. Yes, it's the 5" model.

I did look at the S&W site prior to posting. This was all I could find for a plain front sight...and I don't really need another gold dot. I'll give them a call tomorrow and see if they sell individual sights.
Product: Sight Bag Assy

Thanks again,
Dave
