Replacement rear sight for 640 PRO

I have an S&W 640 Pro, and really like the gun overall. Replaced the nearly dead front night sight, and would like to replace the rear sight with a plain black one, with a wider notch and no tritium inserts.

The one on the new Lipseys UC models both fit the same dovetail cut, and fit the bill for what I want. However, S&W will not sell one to me, as Lipseys has an exclusive on it.

Not having any success in finding anything else.

Any suggestions ?

I have a 640 Pro from 2014. Replaced the night sights 2 years ago. My sights were manufactured by Trijicon. Others were made by Novak. I had to call S&W CS with serial # of 640 to determine who made the sights. Once I found that out, Trijicon. Sent them the sights and had them relamped.

Once manufacture is known, call sight co and see if you can purchase a non lamped night sight. Good Luck.

Went through this 2 years ago. Called S&W and gave them the serial# and they told me the manufacture of the sight. In my case it was Trijicon. Shipped the sights to them and had them relamped.

Novak appears to be the maker of the sight set. I would call them and see if they can help? Might have to purchase a plain sight set just to get the rear.

Thanks for the suggestion. No luck with S&W though. They could not tell me.
Probably Trijicon. I am friends with Wayne Novak, and while they designed the sight originally, they do not make them.
