Years ago I had a S&W .32-20 Hand Ejector that wasn't a high condition collectible, but I loved the cartridge and the way it shot. I sold it thinking someday I'd replace it, but never came across one locally. Last weekend at a gun show I came across a 4th variation from the mid 1920's at a gun show, but I felt it was a little high for the condition. Made the guy an offer of $100 less and he declined it. Next day I saw he still had it, and had knocked $50 off his price. I made the same offer as the day before and this time he took it.
It's again not a high end Smith, and has the wrong grips for a 4th change version; but it will do for a shooter and maybe find a decent pre War grip set cheap someday. Just happy to have one back in my collection to shoot.
