This N frame came to me with modified combats.

I swapped them for Magnas and a grip adapter.

It would help if you specified ; too small, too big for your hand!

I probably should have provided more detail. It's the finger grooves that don't fit. I have a couple pair of Kim Ahrends that Kim custom made for me years ago from an outline of my hand. They fit perfectly but they are for the N frame square butt.

Like StrawHat suggested ( post #3 ) ... Magnas and a grip adapter are one of the best set ups for N-frame shooting and concealability .
That set up was on the model 58 S&W in my avatar (from retired police officer ) untill I had Kim Ahrend make some Retro-Combats in dark red Cocobolo ... just for good looks and I wanted to keep the factory Magna's and the aluminum grip adapter safely put away ...
those grips and the adapter got pricey and hard to find !
I still enjoy shooting the 41 Magnum .

I sure do miss kim's great grips ...
he knew how to make them !

The finger grooves on Ahrends and Hogue grips fit me well.
For me, Badger Grips fit me the worst. The finger grooves may fit Sasquatch, but not me.

My 24-3 still wears her factory combats, which fit "ok"

Keep the Original Grips to maintain maximum resale value

My recent pick up Lew Horton has those N round butt combats and they just don't fit my hand. Any ideas for replacements?

Just an added note to say that keeping the original grips for your Model 24-3 will insure you receive maximum value for your gun if you ever decide to sell. Original S&W combat grips are very pricey and it might cost $250-300 or more to replace them.

These are great guns and congratulations on your acquisition are in order.

These are Keith Brown "hideout" stocks he made for me about 10-12 years ago. The combats did not work for me either.

I second these. I absolutely hate the factory combats and was using the Pach Compac grips until I discovered Keith's hideout I found second hand. I like them so much I kept them after I sold my 3" 24 lol. I'll eventually get another 624, shooter grade, and put them on it :D
