The number you gave is too low for an 'S' prefix M&P. Did you leave out a digit, or did you mean 'C' 95719? Long action, or short?

Yes. There were no five digit S prefix units on the M&P.

There definitely were some 2" SB units in the S957000 range. A lot of them, in fact.

Please check the serial number for the missing digit. S957xxx would be from November 1947.
