Resent fined Model 48-3

Picked up this beautiful model 48 from an old friend. He bought it new in 1979 and shot it a couple times, and put it away.
The rim fire cylinder I don't think was ever used but I think it was installed as there is a line on it.
Just thought I'd show it off.

I really want a nice 48. I had to pass on a beautiful no dash in order to get my Blackhawk 357 max. I made the right choice, but I still keep thinking about it. That 48 walked away an hour after I saw it...and it was under $600.
 
These Model 48's are sweet shooters. I've got a first year model that I take to the range every so often. It usually accompanies one of my K22 masterpieces and sitting side by side on the table they make a nice pair.
The recoil isn't really too bad, just loud. Happy shooting with your revolver. Getting that auxiliary is a real find.
