RESURRECTION_SKY4-SMALL_zps36fa6360.jpg

Arizona's "monsoon season" often makes for dramatic skies, with all the moisture-laden clouds pouring in. I took this yesterday afternoon; walked out our front door and this was the truly awesome scene that greeted me. I ran for my camera, and caught a truly beautiful sky. Photographers call this a "resurrection sky" for obvious reasons. It's like God is calling, and He is saying "...are you listening?" At any rate, I thought I'd share it with you.

Nice shot John. I am experiencing a little Arizona monsoon right now in Flagstaff with a little "resurrection sky" action too.

I do believe this was my first trip through the desert and the Greater Phoenix area where I didn't need to blast the AC. The thin overcast and relatively cool temps made for a nice drive. Really, it was only 89-90 degrees and I expected the locals to be sporting parkas! :D

Nice photo. This phenomenon is also called "Crepuscular rays" or "Jacob's Ladder". Because Arizona clouds are often widely spaced, cloud formations can be especially neat to look at.

I am listening, God, and your creation is indescribably beautiful!:)

Thanks for sharing, Paladin.
