Does anyone make a retention holster, something more than a thumb break, for a 4" N frame?
I carry my 1911 in a Bianchi Carrylok, that locks into the trigger guard when holstering... and would LOVE something like that for my wheel gun.

I open carry 99% of the time, so concealability is way down the list on things I would be looking for in this holster.
Do you know what # that holster is? I have seen #350s for sale.
Thanks,

Jim

From what looking I have done, I only see outdoor/utility type holsters on various websites. I think you will find that an N frame is uncommon enough as a carry gun that the majority of holsters for it will be directed at the center of the market. That center does not include duty/retention holsters.

I happen to still have a Safariland Level 3 (070) duty holster for a 4" N frame, and won't sell it. They no longer make any duty holsters for N frames as far as I can tell.

Yea, thats what I am finding.
Too bad there are not more hard core/old school guys like us out there.

A vintage Audley holster uses an inner spring clip to retain the gun. They were made for revolvers and autos.
Check Ebay, there is one posted right now for a 4" revolver.

Forum member RBBT always has a classified ad running that has A LOT of old police retention holsters. Check his ad, and then you you don't find anything, send him an email. He was willing to help find me one for a Python, but I found one in a local gunshop used holster bin first. That is another good place to look. you nver know what you might find in those bins, usually pretty cheap too. that is also where I found the Hurricane for my N frame.
