Congrats and enjoy your retirement. I had 34 years in law enforcement, just over 26 of that from the department I retired from. If you are like me, it will always be part of you. It was more than a job for me. It was a part of who I am. Still, I have loved being retired and spending time with my wife. I am never at a loss for something to do.

A huge congrats to you. This coming November will be 9 yrs ago that I retired. I did almost 29 yrs and enjoyed it. I miss my friends but not the stress.
It took me almost a year to unwind and realize it's all behind me now. I'm not going back - this isn't just a long vacation and I have to return soon... It's OVER. What a great feeling. Now I keep life real simple.
