Return of the M&P9L?

I called my LGS yesterday and asked if they had the CORE 5 inch in stock. Unfortunately they did not but they did say they had a 5 inch model. I asked if it was the Pro and he said no. He said it's got night sights. I asked for the SKU and he said it's 305701. A M&P9L? Well, I went today and it's a brand new M&P9L with the angled cut where the guide rod is. Now, I thought these were discontinued. Is S&W making another run on these?

Edit: The M&P9L has the newer sear with the better reset. It also has the rear sight with a ledge, unlike the previous one with the slanted rear sights.

I checked the Smith and Wesson website and there isn't a model with the SKU 305701. Are they bringing this model back.

That sounds like the ones S&W runs off for law enforcement, I have bought that pistol and a 40L from Buds Police Supply in the past. LE runs are not cataloged.
FYI, the LE pistols come with 3 mags

Yes it does come with 3 mags. I will check the date on the test round when I get it in my hands.

I purchased my 9L last year. It's an LE model. 3 mags and night sights.

So here it is. It has the newer trigger and two dimples on the barrel.
