Revolver cartridge slide

I want to try to fabricate an old school 12 round cartridge slide. I don't remember a picture of the back side. Did they sew on belt loops, or just fold a piece of leather over with a single seam on top or bottom? Did the best makers put the actual cartridge loop through a slot to make the loop or stitch on both sides. Any pictures would be helpful, I've looked at the Campbell FBI pictures, the search function didn't help much. Thanks for your time, Mark

I think they were just folded over with one sewed seam and the belt slid through the length. Probley were other types too. I still have several of those two six cartridge drop pouchs. They had two snap pockets, a belt slot on each end.

i have a 12 gauge slide that has belt loops that loop over the top and snap on the bottom . use it in CAS, not what youre after but its all i got:) i would think a smaller version would work as well?

Somewhere in my accumulation I have a US marked belt slide that simply has slots cut in each end for the belt to slide through. This slide is black leather and holds six 38 caliber cartridges.

There are some photos on ebay of some old cartridge holders. One of the examples I have was made by Don Hume. The loops are one continuous piece of leather, sewn onto the holder. (I think this one was specifically made for PPC)
