Revolver friendly reading material

Join the S&W Collectors Association. The quarterly publications are AWESOME and even they are (or will be) collectable. Full of photos and great information. Ed

Aside from my NRA subscription to American Rifleman, I currently get Combat Handguns. I agree that every month it seems the cover of CH has some 1911 on it. Don't get me wrong, the 1911 is a good firearm but come on already - maybe they should rename the rag to Combat 1911 Handguns. Every month readers are treated to some new and very expensive custom 1911 ..... not exactly what I would take into combat to begin with!

Many magazines this year commemorated the centennial of the 1911. I think in 2012 we will see less coverage --but probably more Sig, XD, Etc.

As far as books go, I really enjoyed John Taffins "Book of the 44". Get it on Amazon.com. It's mostly revolovers.

I don't subscribe to any gun rag, but I will browse the selection when I'm at the grocery store and buy one that has articles that appeal to me every few months or so.

I too look for sixgun articles.:)

I recently found a website with a bunch of Skeeter Skelton's old articles on it, sixguns galore in his writings.

An oldie but still a goodie, Ed McGivern's "Fast and Fancy Revolver Shooting" is still able to be found.

And I third (or whatever number I am now) Grant Cunningham's book or his website for the online articles he posts.
McGivern's Book- I'll "second that emotion"!!!
Good shooting
