Revolver help

Looking in a safe that I haven't been in for a long time, found a couple of 38 spls. that I put away and forgot about. One is a 4 inch 10-5 and the other one is a 10-7 snub nose, could anyone help me date these guns. both these guns are in above average shape.

The 10-5 was made between 1962 and 1977. The 10-7 was made from 1977 to 1988.

Post the serial numbers (taken off the butt and include any letter prefixes) and someone will narrow it down. You can substitute an "X" for each of the last two digits if you're concerned about posting the entire number. D123456 would be listed as D1234XX.

You have to keep on eye on your safe. You close the door for awhile, reopen it years later, and the smiths have multiplied. You might even have to pay support!!

Dating Revolvers

The 10-7 number is AFB48XX
The 10-5 number is D7805XX
I have another one that does not have a model#, the number on the bottm of the grip is C382146, any help dating these would be great.

10-7 - late 1984ish
C-prefix - 1954-1956

Thanks for the info, I have had these guns for a long time, I am 59 years old, I grew up shooting and hunting, got married and had a couple kids, between raising the kids and working full time and starting a business for my wife the time passed quickly, daughter is now married and my son is in the Army in South Korea, I am now getting back into shooting some. I have quite a few guns that I haven't shot in years. Like I said Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.
