I wish S&W would come out with a revolving rifle like Rossi Circuit Judge using their X-frame. A 16.5 or a 18.5 inch barrel in S&W 460 or S&W 500. Myself I would like to see it in a 357 Max.. It would be a great brush rifle.

I would like to see the 45/90, 45/100, the 45/120 and the 50/95, 50/100 and the 50/120 in a revolving rifle using modern smokeless gun powder. I would like a new bear rifle in an old caliber.

I wish they would make one in .357 magnum so that people who own a .357 magnum revolver could have a matching revolving rifle to go with the revolver.

Now that Remington seems to be hell bent on destroying Marlin I would love to see either S&W or Ruger step up and make a decent lever action in some exciting new cartridge. Big Horn Armory is on the right path but a big name company could really step up the game and start making them in bulk at a more affordable price. A .460 or .500 would make a stellar pump or lever action.

Chaparrel arms is the only one offering these big bore old calibers in a lever action that i know of.

I'm with you on this. I was looking at a revolving rifle at a gunshow the other day and I thought I wish S&W would make one. Multiple caliber choices would be nice.

Perhaps some kind of remake of the Volcanic! What would you think of .45-70? And a detachable stock and maybe....okay, okay, now I'm really dreaming.

You guys ever see the pictures of the shooter of a S&W 460 or 500 ( I forget which) that had his thumb destroyed, by the blast from the cylinder gap, while using the "thumbs forward" grip?

Revolving rifles, especially in high pressure cartridges, would be extremely dangerous to the shooter from the blast effect of the cylinder gap.

Take a look at Rossi's "Circuit Judge". They've put little blast shields at the critical areas to prevent that kind of unhappy event. Jeff Quinn at gunblast did a review on it and according to him they work and he even tried a white paper test with zero blast results. However, not sure how well that would work with .460/.500, but it does seem to work with 410 bore/.45Colt/.45ACP. Now if someone would just make the "Territorial Governor" I'd have my order in.

I contacted Rem. and suggested a pump action in .357 Max. That way you could used 357Max, 357Mag and 38 Special. They not at this time. I try Ruger and try to see if they would come out the Mini-30 in a new cal. a .358x39mm. A neck up 7.62x39mm to a .358 cal. which could come close to a 35Rem. and was told no thank you.
