My S&W J Model 642 J Frame has the concealed hammer, so I
use my Charter Undercover, that has a hammer, to illustrate my
J Frame holsters with dog ears. Here are the 5 that I kept.
Another one from turnerriver, is this little Heiser Model 457 made
for Evaluators. They provided holsters to the F.B.I. Did Agents
carry J Frames?
2nd is a Bucheimer Sheriff Model. Obviously not a "dog ear", but
I like it, so I kept it. It's a crossdraw.
3rd is this little laced and basket weaved holster with retention
strap made by Idaho Leather.
4th Here is another with "dog ear". The Blazer made by Wally
Wolfram in his Monrovia days, where he was also a police officer.
He mentored another young police officer and would be holster
maker by the name of John Bianchi.
5th I like the old classics, like this one made by Chic Gaylord.
The stamp, in the rough side of the leather, has worn away, but
I can tell it's by Chic Gaylord by his "Stitch Signature". BTW the
gunbelt is also by Chic Gaylord.
