The Rigby Mauser project that I, with help from Mrs. Vivas, have been working on for the past 2.5 years has finally come to fruition.

On Tax Day, we had a baby boy whom we have named, at my suggestion/insistence, Rigby Mauser Vivas.

This seemed quite complimentary to my first son (now 31 y/o) who is named after B. Tyler Henry of Henry rifle fame.

Me being me, I emailed both John Rigby & Co. in London as well as Mauser in Germany about this and both businesses were kind enough to send gifties, which should be here in a couple weeks.

If my posting seems lean over the next few weeks, it's because I'm doing the sleep-deprived Dad thing.

Although it's tentatively in the negotiation phase, I'm trying to persuade Mrs. Vivas to have one more son, who I would name Daniel Baird Wesson Vivas. She's ok with another child, but she's not sold on the name. I have to work on that one.

Best,
RM Vivas

Passed this thread by because I figured it was a custom rifle thread. Had no idea it was something so awesome! Congrats, my good Sir! Stay away from fertility drugs. If she has octuplets you might wind up naming one Jensen HiPoint.:D

I know this is an old post but I found the image on my hard drive so i thought I'd post it:

The John Rigby people sent one of their case labels which we have since framed and hung on the wall of Rigby Mauser's room next to the tin Mauser sign that the Oberndorf folks sent him.

The little guy when he hit the one year mark a couple months ago:

I'm accepting donations of .38-44 HD's for his future.... ;)

Best,
