I received a Ring light and motion detector for Xmas.
Procrastinated , finally got it up.
Easy to install, now you do software WiFi magic, BAM!
I can see what’s happening in my rear driveway from anywhere I have an internet connection.
No problem
So easy, I know what. Let’s do a Doorbell Model up front.
Could not get that little beauty to connect!
Got one idiot error message after another.
Was getting ready for the slow drive and slower walk of defeat into the Lowe’s return desk.
Did a Google search.
Aha! Hard reset you say.
After a hard reset which is actually easy to do, there it is!
It connected to my WiFi.
Works fine now!

Thanks, I have been wondering about them. I have 5 wireless security cameras that my internet supports and they work pretty good but are getting tired I guess. I've had them about 4 years and beginning to have nit picking problems with them. I am going to look into that one you installed.

We have a Ring doorbell at the front door and a Ring spotlight/camera at the backdoor patio entrance both work very well.
Be sure you can hear them from where you sleep at night. It does no good to wake next morning and find a video of someone at the door at 2am. this happened to us. The guy walked up to the door no shirt or shoes, I guess to see if it was open. when he saw the light flash and heard the bell inside he turned and walked away without checking the door which was locked. I saw the notice on my phone video the next morning and showed the video to a deputy but they didn't recognize the guy. That day I bought a Ring remote chime set to ring in the bedroom, and the phone stays on the nightstand at night too, next to the 642.
