The world got somewhat colder for me this week. Bernard Cribbins and his novelty songs were a fixture of my childhood. But the range of his talent was far bigger than that. He was an actor on the stage, TV and film. He acted in many genres. Some of you who watch British shows on NPR may recall him in a Midsomer Murders episode fairly recently. He also appeared in Doctor Who in the 60s and the 2000s. He continued well into his 80s and said that he was rarely out of work. He passed this week at 93. We should all be so lucky to have lived such a long and full life.
RIP, and thanks for decades of entertainment.
