The way that article reads, this lady spider was a LAAZZY one, that's why it lasted so long. Never going food shopping, never out on the town with hubby spider,,,,,just sat around eating what came to her!

I mean come on, you've seen one female Trap Door Spider and you've seen em all.

Amen. Bugs are a fact of life here in Florida, so spiders eat well. I had a wolf spider live in my room growing up, so some nights I'd wake up with a three inch in diameter fuzzy spider watching me from my nightstand. Not sure what happened to her, probably got killed by cats at some point or another.

Wolf Spiders are something else. In North Carolina, we have the Carolina Wolf Spider, one of the largest varieties known. And they are found in other states. If you ever run across one, you won't forget it, that's for sure. They have incredible eyesight, and the slightest movement within their field of vision will get their immediate attention.

They are also very fast moving spiders. They will often chase down their prey over short distances, which is one reason they're called Wolf Spiders.
