Riser for a red dot

I've got a Tru-glo riser BNIB that I ordered from Midway about a week ago. Not able to use it now. PM me if you're interested.

.83" = cowitness

1.0" = 1/3

:cool:

And more clarification: .83" = 'Absolute Co-witness'
1.0" = 'Lower 1/3 Co-witness'

My preference is lower 1/3 co-witness so my MBUS don't obscure any more view thru my tube type red dot sight than necessary in case of battery failure or damage.

A LaRue Tactical QD mount allows removal of the optic and remount w/o losing zero. Pretty handy accessory, alltho kinda expensive. But, ya get what ya pay for.

Agree, but in my case for my 15-22 an UTG riser is ok with my TRS25 with plinking in mind...
with my Sig MOE, cowitness fit my needs...

Over the holidays I was given a gift card to Dick's Sporting Goods, So today I stopped in to look for something for the 15-22. I found a TruGlo Red Dot and since it was about the same as my gift card, I got it. When I got home I realized it was a little too low on the gun to co-witness with the iron sights.

Does anyone know what size riser I would need to co-witness with the iron sights? I believe it needs to go up a 1/2 inch. Is this right?

Does anyone know where I can get a 1/2 inch riser anywhere from 2-4 inches long?

Thanks for the help

TruGlo sells one of their own for less money.\
