Has anyone ever dealt with these folks? They have some guns listed on GB that I'm interested in but.....Thanks.

They're just down the road from me (TN-100) and I've been going there for at least 30 years. GREAT folks - From the owner to the guys and gals working there.
It used to be THEE most fun gun store that I'd been in since Fetla's. An Old Timey Country Gun Store - Now they pretty much just do internet sales, but still the same people.

P.S. Fetla's is (was?) in Valparaiso, IN - I'm not sure it's even still there.... The place was a maze of stuff including MilSurp guns of all types - Lots o' FUN :)

Great folks. I bought a Colt trooper 22 lr from them and the gun was wearing goodyears. They dug up a pair of appropriate wood grips after the deal was made. Unexpected but appreciated.

I bought an Israeli High Power from them last year, from through their Guns America ad. The gun I had made an offer to buy had just been sold minutes before I tried so they worked with me to find a High Power that would work for me. They gave me a discount for LE and were a pleasure to do business with.

I "think" the owner or son of the owner was a member here a few years ago. But, as usual, I can't recall his user name. I recall he used to put some nice items in the Classifieds.

I bought a HK USP from them last year. Did a "lay-a-way" that went very smoothly. They give you 90 days to pay off the balance after a 20% deposit. I would have no problem doing buss. with them again.

I bought several used 4013TSW magazines from Robertsons for a great price and shipping was very reasonable. I would recommend them.

Done business with them for almost 40 years. They have closed as a store front business and do almost all internet now. Yes they are a good business to deal with and they try to do things right.

I still go to a old store around here that have tubs of milsurp guns of varying caliber and condition, been that way since I was in high-school, it's where I bought my first sks in the early 80's, still have it. Just walk in and pick what you think is the best one out of the barrel, and always have all of the accessories you would want to, probably still around because they sell booze and smokes also.

I've dealt with Mr. Robertson a few times over the years. The place is a breath of fresh air compared to most gun stores these days.

Bought a Uberti Walker Colt from them about 4 years ago. In the process of paying for it over the phone I was talking to the son I think.

We like to never got of the phone. He was a gentleman and we ended up talking about all sorts of things.

Bid/buy with confidence from them.

Thanks!

Hi Bill:
Just because you said they were good folks to deal with, I might have a hankering to give 'em a try! DW41F.

I bought one of their CDC 2" 64's off GunsAmerica and the transaction was handled in a prompt and professional manner. Communication was excellent as well. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again...

Follow-up on recommendation request

Based on your recommendations (Robertson Trading Post) I ordered a S&W 64, a used gun from a state department of corrections. It was shipped Tuesday, arrived last night and I picked it up this AM. They billed it as 85% and they were right. Locks up tight, clean, little signs of wear, obviously not abused, and at the range this AM (mild winter here in Vt) it shot perfectly. They have numerous pics on each gun they sell so you can see exactly what you're buying. I paid $ 60 more for the "pick of the litter" but it was worth it. As you folks said, great folks to deal with. Thanks to all those who replied.

Have to agree. John Robertson has been a decent business man who does VERY good business deals. I've used his services for over five years. He is honest and fair. He also has a pretty good inventory of Smiths.

I've never had anythng but good luck with his shop.
