I received this little .38 service pistol from my local just the other evening.

Made in the Philippines, it cost a mere $207 brand new in the box.

So far I have 150 rounds through it, PMC and Remington loads, and it has been perfect.

The action is smooth and accuracy aplenty. A little roughness to the parkered finish but this is a beater.

Overall great gun for the price. Would buy again.

It looks like it rotates like a Colt, and the cylinder release "pulls" like a Colt. Is the construction an lightweight alloy, or is it steel?
I've had a couple of RIA compact 1911's, both .45 and 9mm, both were excellent.

Yes sir, it does. It is based on the Colt design. Specifically which model I cannot remember.

RIA/ArmsCorp largest 1911 style gun maker on the planet.
Their guns are good to go in my book. An "All Generations" shotgun is a must for one with grand kids and nieces & nephews. It is a great platform to find out if they(the kids)have a serious interest. They now have at least two factories in the USA.

Transfer bar on mine snapped in two. Armscor did a good job repairing it but I sold it off as soon as it returned.

These guns are not meant to be shot a lot.

Service pistol? It's a revolver, and not in any service that I've ever heard of.
