Roll crimp dies

I don't like Lee products but just got the Lee Collet die for use on 223-5.56
for AR. I've loaded 223 50 yrs but for #3 and bolt actions with no crimp.
I've got several thousand 224 bullets most 55gr with no cannulure groove.
Suppose to be good die to crimp these for use in AR.

If a pistol bullet has a "Can"
and you are shooting full loads or even +P
it will help prevent bullet movement with a slight crimp, if used.

The old 9mm Speer 125 gr soft point , shown in the old Speer #8 book
shows the bullet with a cannelure , used back then.

Today most pistol bullet are smooth walled and if plated, the "Can" is very slight, at best.

One reason, a taper is used on most pistol loads, today.
