Roll crimp for 10mm

I appreciate your point, but this thread is about "how to roll crimp a 10mm" not "should one roll crimp a 10mm." For the benefit of those who might search for an answer to this question in the future, we should keep the thread on topic.

Your question of the value of roll crimping is worthwhile, and if you wanted to start another thread to discuss the pros and cons of a roll crimp vs taper crimp, I'd be happy to contribute.
Smart man! ! ! I have shot many many 10mm rounds from my 610 at bowling pins! A roll crimp with a round nose bullet will ensure a quick flawless reload(no fumbling to get past the case mouth)! I shoot them HOT and have experienced bullet pull from recoil, not enough to tie up the cylinder, but it might happen! My dies are Hornady and they give me a good roll crimp! I use 38-40 lead round nose flat point powder coated bullets and they have a crimping groove.

Seems like a quick phone call to a die manufacturer would be more useful.
As said, enjoy roll crimping—provided that case is NOT being head spaced on the case mouth, but by a clip.
