These right handed thumb rest grips came extra with a 1950 Colt Officers Model 38 Heavy Barrel. I've spent the last hour looking at internet photos of Ropers and I can't tell. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think so. Roper panels, on the back side, have rectangular jig holes. Also, most Ropers that I have seen have sort of a ribbon pattern on them. I think yours are probably Sandersons.

I had an OMT from that era, heavy bbl. Nice revolver. And I believe it had Sandersons on it.

I just looked up a bunch of Sanderson images and you're right. The design and checkering and wood type seems to match Sanderson more than Roper. There's a round jig mark at the top of the left panel if that's any help. Picture on the way.

A couple more pics of the possible Sandersons.
