Recently I found a nice 1925 Colt officers model 2nd issue 38 with 7.25 inch barrel. A wonderful addition to my 1936 officers model 3rd issue 38 heavy barrel with Roper rear sight and King reflector front sight and my 1936 officers model 3rd issue 22 with heavy barrel and King red post reflector sight.
Back in the popular target shooting days, Colts were dominant on the lines. I see many more souped up Colts by king than S&W's treated with King sights. I am a big fan of their work and have several.
I just had to have a 7.25 inch barrel version to add to my humble grouping. My new aquire is bone stock and in rather nice condition for a 100 year old gun. I can't wait get a few wadcutters down the barrel. I would love to own a Colt Shooting Master, a true work of art but they tend to be a little too rich for my blood whenever I find them.
I would love to see pics of any Colt OM or SM revolvers some of you guys have found.
