Rough day at the range

If you want a third option for a grip sleeve, you might look at a TUFF 1. Comes in different colors and designs. No finger grooves. Been considering one of these myself, as I have the Hogue HandAll on my SD9VE. I like the Hogue, but have found it wants to slip around a little now that it's been on the gun for a while. Just a thought...

The only thing keeping me from ordering either of those grips are the reviews that say the grip slips around and doesn't stay where its meant to.

I would opt for a bike tube around the grip, as it would stay put, but that wouldn't address the need for added palm swell

The rubber talon's felt sticky to me and the sand paper finish is very aggressive (I sanded mine down a little bit)...both of mine did slip some especially on the back strap and lower areas of the grip around the mag well....they do improve the grip but its not a permanent life time accessory and will have to be replaced at some time if you handle your pistol alot.

Sometimes I read these threads and just have to scratch my head. You all go out and buy the tiniest, most compact pistol you can find in order to make it "easier to conceal" then you start adding bulk to it in the form of grip sleeves and finger extensions in order to make it shootable. Anyone ever think to buy the smallest gun that you are capable of shooting well first and then figuring out how to conceal it second? It is not as difficult as you might think to adequately conceal a medium sized pistol...

My wife, not a big gal at all, decided she wanted something wirh a little more authora-tay than her 637. The M&P line was definitely on the radar so I took her to my favorite gun shop. She picked up a Shield & said "Wow that grip is too skinny." Tried a M&Pc and said "That's it!" I laid them side by side; the size difference is negligible.

We later found her a deal on a night-sighted, police trade-in 40c. This is the softest-shooting small .4o I've ever fired, way easier to handle than a Glock 27, even with hot loads like the 165 HST. Its trigger has a smooth take-up and a crisp breaking point, making it easy to shoot well. It printed a little high for me but at 25 yards, but I could easily stay on the head of a B27. My unsupported 5-shot groups at that distance were 3-4 inches.

I see no reason on earth to fix something that works this well.

Those Hogue rubber grips are complete **** IMO....every firearm I own now, gets Talon rubber grips. Best $20 you will ever spend!
