Could someone tell me if Smith & Wesson made an round butt grip similar to a magna on square butt guns? I just picked up a 3-inch model 24 that has ugly non-factory grips. I like the looks of factory grips with a tyler t-grip but have never seen an N-frame RB grip like that.

Thanks,

Jeff

Thanks Ken. I have seen those grips but I was thinking of some that cover more of the frame above the grips like the kind that came on the short barreled 66's and 19's. But I guess they didn't make those. I guess I may have to go with stags or similar grips.

Thanks,

Jeff

I didn't know he made them for the round butt guns. I have only seen them on the square butt guns. Thanks again,

Jeff

You can also get them from Don Collins. I just tossed a set of elephant ivories out of my gunshowing bag. No reason to take them to Louisville. If he makes them out of Ivory, he'd make them out of your choice of wood, too. Another possible choice would be Keith Brown.

3rd alternative would be to make them yourself. I've got a set of rosewood targets I'm going to cut down to round butt. I paid $10 for them out in Leadville, CO last summer (went to a tiny gunshow, it was the bargain of the show.) The M24 snubbies came with goodyears, I believe. At least its how mine came to me.

Pretty sure the Lew Horton 3" 24s came with round butt combats. As to magnas, I have a set that camw on a newer 24. I think they're Altamont grips and were from the factory.

Here a pic of them on a 29-3.
