Round butt N frames

First one I ever heard of was on the LH M24-3.

I got on that bandwagon early. Still have the gun and it's here to stay. At the time, they were advertised as a K-frame round butt on an N-frame. That seems to have been debunked over the years and they're larger than a K-frame round butt. There's some discussion on the this forum supporting that position, but I've never confirmed it myself.

Yup, I pre-ordered my LH M24-3 3”, still have it. I never saw a reason to try any other grips, the ones that came on it are so pretty.

This was the closest I could get to pre-war N round. This 1917 frame came to me with a badly pitted grip frame. I massaged and reduced it to K square configuration, and customized and restored a well worn set of K targets to fit. A true round butt cut would have removed part of the SN, and constituted a felony. :-(
