Well the 15-22 stock sights have been driving me nuts, specifically the excessively wide front sight, so I started looking at the Rrages ACOG's.

Does any one have experience with the 1x or 4x models? I want very fine crosshairs for shots between 10 and 70 yards like I would take with the iron sights. I like the 4x but it is pricey and I am worried that the magnification is too much for this 15 yard shots on squirrels.

Have you thought of a 1-4x variable scope?

There are plenty of options in that area.

I run a PA 1-4x, and I shoot from 25 feet to 100yds easily.

Oh my bad I read that wrong.

I have a 0.050" from Brownells. I mic'd the height compared to stock so it should be very close but Im going to rezero it precisely tonight.

How is the post width compared to the stock one?

Half as wide easily. Mine arrived slightly bent and I tweaked it straight, there is one even thinner at 0.035" available but I wouldnt go thinner than 0.050" myself. The "ears" on the MBUS will keep it protected anyways.

Well I have a few optics on mine however I found if you are on a budget you can get buy with a few nice clones:

ACOG Clone:
$74.02 - Professional GL-4*32C Rifle Scope with Gun Mount - Mounts & Accessories

I currently have mounted 522 clone from rrages, works great.

Now this looks like a sweet deal.

Was looking at a fiber-optic front site http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/default.aspx?productNumber=354879 for $48,

But for $25 more, I can get this?

Heck, it is even less expensive than this other front site I was

This was $10 more!

I'm gonna have to start a wish list!

So many toys, so few dollars... :(

I have heard of deal extreme, but all the stuff is super cheap. for that kind of money, I would rather save up some and spend $119 shipped for a scope Rrages says is good.

I'll have to see about ordering that thinner iron sight then, since it is quite a bit cheaper, and I know it will work well for me.
