rubber grip for model 640--round vs square??

noob here
I have a model 640 snubbie,want to replace the stock grip with a rubber grip.
Hogue lists grips for round and square grip J frames,but does not specify which one will fit the 640. I emailed them,no answer yet.

Which one should I order for this revolver?

Welcome to the forum. Hogue makes some good grips. The J-frames are pretty standard, so just check out their web site and I'm sure you'll find something that will work. One thing you need to decide is whether you want a "boot grip" or a full fingered one. The boot grips don't extend below the grip frame. I like them better for carry. The full fingered ones will be much more comfortable for a revolver that will be shot a lot. You can still use them for carry but they don't conceal quite as well, at least for me. That revolver is round butt by the way.
