Went to the LGS and noticed the cases are starting to fill up again.

In one of the new showcases, I spotted a blued revolver. That was enough to get my attention. Had my eyes on a Talo GP100, but this guy was too nice to pass by. Price was reasonable.

Needs a nice set of (wood?) grips. Seems like there are few options out there for the GP100. Any suggestions?

Looking forward to range day next week :)

My only Ruger is a Redhawk in .44 mag. Smooth grips that I definitely had to change out to Hogues (I think) which definitely helped.

I've always been a fan of Ruger revolvers. Built like a tank, when you need a tank. Congrats!

I have a stainless, 6 inch GP-100, I found the factory rubber stocks with the wood inserts to be an excellent design for medium sized hands.

Sir
I started with some of the older rubber grips that have wooden inserts. They are an improvement.
I asked P. Grashorn, Executioner, to make the stag inserts for the 44 Special stainless gun. We discussed medallion size and placement. They came out good.
The TALO has orginal grips and the fixed sight gun was upgraded to plain wooden inserts.

Those stag inserts are handsome! I have heard nothing but good things about Executioner. Will have to inquire about that. Thank you!

Eagle grips make a nice set of wood targets for the GP100. Altamont also offer a similar design but they're laminate. Personally I like the old style original rubber grips with the wood inserts. Check out Chig's Grips as he still offers them with a variety of different wood inserts.

Nice snag Mark. You don't see the GP-100's in blue very often, and I like the look.

If the grips feel good in your hand, but you don't like the rubber, I believe Hogue makes them in fancy wood for the GP-100 as well.
