Ruger Single Action Revolver Photos-Show Us Yours

low 4 digit flattop 44

No offense intended, but I just had to comment on this photo.:) Must be the camera angle or lens distortion, but that barrel appears to be bent downward.
Might not want to use that pic in a For Sale ad.:D

My Rugers

First year 357/9mm Blackhawk, first year 30 Carbine Blackhawk both with aftermarket Sambar stag grips, and first year Tri-Color Single Six. Next 2nd year 44 magnum Blackhawk with factory Sambar stag grips. Finally a 2nd year 44 magnum Super Blackhawk which has an added Ruger factory brass grip frame, and has had Turnbull Restoration case coloring to the frame and hammer and all the small parts and screws have been fired blued, and to finish it off has aftermarket Sambar stag grips put on it. It also has the original factory wood display case (under the gun).

Its made that way to account for the tremendous recoil of the most powerful handgun in the world (a little dated).

I'm not normally a fan of brass frames but in a package like that it works just fine. Beautiful gun with awesome stags.

I had my only 3-screw treated by Turnbull also...

3 screw 45LC/AC Blackhawk and an SR556 takedown with 300 blackout conversion barrel.

Original ('56 I think) Ruger 44magnum Flat Top.
Was someones fast draw revolver. Pretty whipped when I got it, so a good candidate for a project. I still have the guys home-made open front holster somewhere.

The gun had a Super Blackhawk un-fluted cylinder in place. I took that and 'fluted' it to mimic the originals. Came with it's orig 6.5" bbl and a 10" bbl.
Factory confirmed the shorter was the one shipped on the gun.
I replaced the banged up aluminum triggerguard/backstrap with a Power Custom all steel 2-piece unit like on a Colt SAA. Same dimentions as a Colt. Fitted and finished a set of 2 piece ivory grips to it w/ Ruger medallions.
I think it had the steel ejector rod housing already,,if it didn't I put one on.
Original steel Micro sight needed some repair and straightening from a few oops fast draws but came through fine.

All polished up I engraved it and did a little gold inlay. A hot blue completed the project,,,,then I sold it!
On to the next one....

Well this is my only Ruger revolver.

Really like the Mirror sights on it but just cannot get used to the way it ejects. Going to stick with my Smiths.

Ruger Flatgate 40461 Think its pretty early but not sure.
