I had one many years ago a foolishly sold it. I figured it was time to correct that mistake.

Like yours a lot. Had a Single Six in stainless with the magnum cylinder back in 79. Pretty sharp but likin the blued models more these days. Think it cost me around $179 new back then. Thanks for sharing.

I wish I could still find one for that price! I paid twice that for this one but overall I still think that was a good price for it NIB

Very nice. We've got the same tastes in Single Sixes. Looks like my 50 year old one. They haven't changed much and are a lot of fun.

I have the 5.5" Single Six convertible and a .357/9mm convertible Blackhawk to go with it. Fantastic revolvers. The Single Six will outlast us all, and still drive tacks after I am long gone.
With .22 Magnum, I have killed game from red squirrel to whitetail deer with mine, and it's a glorious shooter.

The older ones with the dovetail cut in the top strap for a rear sight are much prettier than the newer adjustable-sighted models, in my opinion. Many were converted at the factory for a hammer stop.

Been thinking about a Vaquero in blue lately. Friend scored a used one in .45 couple years back for a good price. Just wish they were a high polish blue and not matte.

Had one back in the 70's when I was a teenager.

Shot a LOT of LR but even back then the Magnum round was a little steep, for me, but fun to shoot.

Reminds me of today when I pick up a 38/357 revolver as a grown up "Toy".

A bucket list, for sure.

What I would really like to do with this Single Six is convert it to a bird’s head grip. Until I can get around to it, I will just leave the black grips that came on it. Not too photogenic, especially in the gloomy afternoon light, but it shoots just fine.

The Ruger Single Six is one of my favorite revolvers, something I wanted
as a young teen back in the late 50s but couldn't afford. Today I have
four unconverted three screw fixed sight Single Sixes, two 5 1/2" and
two 4 5/8" models. The newer of the 4 5/8" guns is a convertible model
with the magnum cyl but I have never found much use for the pricey
magnum ammo in a .22 revolver.

I used to take my brothers S/S out and shoot up his brick of 22 ammo . I did get a 4 5/8 barrel stainless 22 , it has the warning under the barrel so you can not see it . also walked in to a gun shop and they had a mint old model 3 screw with 22 mag cyl 4 5/8 for 349 and I had to take it home . I never see this barrel for sale any where .

I bought mine new in 1969. I can't guess how many thousands of 22LR has gone through it but I still have part of the first box of magnums I bought for it. It's never been converted or had any work done to it.

I also picked up a mint in the box 6.5 Black Hawk 357 mag with all papers and a letter from Ruger saying it was shipped Mar 1966 . I got it 15 yr ago and never fired it .

My Single-Six 22lr/22wmr is a "forever" gun. Others may come & go, the Ruger's not going anywhere.

Mine's unconverted and did out live it's last owner and was from an estate sale. Probably out last me and go to my grandson.
