Ruger SP-101 DAO

I've had a 9mm SP101, and 38 and 9mm J-frame revolvers, for some years now. Due to it's weight, I can't claim the SP101 is best for concealed carry, etc. I think the J-Frames,especially with the alloy frames, the Ruger LCRs, etc. are more practical for that. But it has been a rock solid little revolver with all kinds of ammunition, and has a smooth, but heavy, DA trigger. Might be the last little 5-shooter I'd want to get rid of...

I had bought a new one for my son's 21st birthday and had to send it back to replace the "D" bushing they called it. One cylinder had a extremely hard trigger pull. They fixed it, apologized and returned it. He didn't like it so I gave him my G26 and sold it.

Like the others said it was a bit big, but handled well.
