I love a good banjo - player - I spent years specializing in both recording and live mixing acoustic music, and in my area it was Folk, Old Time and Bluegrass. Had a lot of bad banjo players in front of my microphones over the years, though.

Somewhere on the internet there's a clip of Roy Clark and some guys playing with a kid that looks to be 8-10. The kid can really play and the clowning of Clark just adds to the fun.

Went to a Jam week end a month ago. At one of the sessions there were 9 or 10 Banjos, 1 Mandolin and 2 of us Fiddlers. Had to spend an hour in the car decompressing, well, napping also.
