Magnetodoc, nice pickup on the holster. IIRC, having “Tex” on the maker’s mark means it’s an older holster. BTW, your grip adapter looks kinda funky. Are there any markings on it?

The grip adapter is about to fall off. This was my father’s favorite smith. He passed in1975. No name on it at all. I should take it off.
