A week or so ago I found myself purchasing one of Sturm and Ruger’s automatic .22 rifles on a whim.
My local store had a 75th anniversary edition of the famous 10/22 that featured a stainless barrel and walnut stock with engraved bolt and red rubber buttpad.
I purchased some rings for it and mounted a Leupold 2-7x33mm scope I had laying around and have to say, what a clever package:

I’m very well pleased with the rifle. I sighted it in today and couldn’t be more enthralled with the accuracy and reliability, and comfortable handling of the piece.
These Ruger’s are fine little rifles for sure.
I look forward to harvesting some squirrels with it when the season reopens.
