I just want to say thanks to anyone on here who gave me advice on pricing my 1006 since I joined the site on March 3rd.
I posted it for sale on here first, last Friday, and had around 400 visits, but no one would commit to it.
There was some concern on my part that this might happen since I was a new member, and I completely understand; lesson learned for me, I even sent an IM to one of the administrators for help, and he did give some good advice. I did see some posts from members on here that they would never buy a firearm from a new member, and again, I understand.
I even offered up my cell phone number. I really thought the S&W website would be the place to make the sale, but turns out I was wrong, I just wanted this amazing handgun to find a good home. It has been in my hands for 31 years.

So, where did it sell? Hopefully, many of you are also members of AR15.COM (My screenname is TAOM). I have been a member for 15 years, but I only sold one firearm on their equipment exchange in 2011; no record could be found on this sale. So, instead of passing on this wonderful firearm, the buyer sent an IM and wanted to talk with me on the phone.
We had a great conversation, I still had a paper copy of my sale on AR15 and sent that to the buyer, and after about 15 minutes, he made an offer, and I countered, SOLD, just that easy, he has the serial number, and there is a place on the AR15 site he can check to see if it comes back stolen, which it will not.

So, going forward, I still have three firearms for sale, none are S&W,s, two of them are rare firearms, and they will be going up for sale on the AR15 site and on here, maybe someone will commit this time from the S&W site.

Thanks for reading.
Dan

Thanks for the update, Dan. I love my 1006, and if I ever sell it I would want it to go to a good hoime as well.
