S&W 1086 trigger

So, I took apart my 1086 for cleaning. Upon reassembly, the hammer will drop once then “recess” a bit in the slide, and the trigger will not reset. The trigger will move back and forth with little to no resistance.
Reassembled multiple times, same result.
What am I doing wrong, never had an issue with any of my full size 3rd Gens.

This is normal with the DA only functioning guns. The hammer/trigger should reset after firing when the slide cycles. (or when you cycle it manually after dry firing)

It does reset when cycling.
