Hi Guys!
I just got tacit approval from my wife to purchase a S+W semi auto

. I'm hoping to find one in 10mm. It took me looking for almost 5 to find a S+W mod 610 revolver "I'm hoping that it will not take as long to find a semi"
My question is how common are they and if it's worth the hunt?

Dan Wesson, Glock, and Kimber all make current production 10mm autos. Still plenty of 1006s for sale. I got two. Got the first NIB in 1999 and the second one NIB in 2008. Prices on the original S&W 3rd Generation Autos and 610s are steep these days.

A dealer near me in Northern VA has a mint 1076 with the box for around $650 or so.

For some reason in the 10mm I prefer the frame moounted decockers, got a 1076 and a 1026. Love em. Also got 2 610s, 3&4", also great guns. You will like the 10mm semis, they are almost bear protection IMHO.

Yes, I've seen it - at Virginia Arms. Mint is something of an understatement...perfect is more like it.

If I was not so hung-up on DAO's, I'd have snatched it up in a heartbeat. It is a steal at $650.00...
