I have a guy holding a 15-2 in great condition (90-95%?) with 4" bbl. It has very slight muzzle bluing wear and the usual cylinder ring but the rest is super clean and even the original wood grips are nice without dings or scratches, etc. He want's $350 out the door. I really like it because it's .38spl (my favorite cal.) and it has an extra wide hammer and trigger which have a good feel. Is this a deal or should I pass?

Sounds like a very good buy to me. Model 15's start at $400 around here.

Yeah, buy it. You ordinarily won't find a CM or 15 under $400 unless it is far more distressed than what you describe. (Not that I would consider light blue loss at the muzzle any kind of "distress" at all. )

I agree with the others in that a Model 15 is a $400 to $450 revolver around here.

Buy it Anna. My Mod 15 is a favorite,a 2'' under my pillow thru the nite. Loaded with Winchester 148 Wadcutters l sleep sound

I hope you didn't lose it waiting for us to answer you. Good luck.

Picked it up yesterday for $350 and it's pretty sweet! I took the grips off to give it a nice lightly oiled cloth wipe down and the grips are stamped with the guns serial number, so they appear to be original. It's nice to snag a deal once in a while! Thanks for the help guys!

Congratulations on a sweet find. I found a 15-3 a little over a week ago and paid considerably more with no regret. I hope you find yours to be as much of a pleasure to shoot as I do mine.

That was made in 1952, so it would be a "Pre" M15. It will not be model marked. It is a Combat Masterpiece.
