S&W 15-22 Sale

I was watching a 15-22 (811033 - threaded) on GunBroker that would have cost around $465 after shipping & transfer fees until my local FFL offered to order one directly for me. $449 total, out the door... and much faster delivery. It's scheduled to arrive tomorrow I generally prefer to give my business to a local... especially one who's in it for more than just a profit.

from KTP? I noticed that all their prices went up after they did the addition a few years ago. ..go figure.

How much is a 15-22 that works, right from the jump?

How much $$$ you got? Getting one that works out of the box is like buying a scratch off lottery ticket.

I got mine at Benton Shooters in Benton, TN. 439 +

You're gonna like the Sig 522. But you should consider swapping forearms with me. That swat model has a lot of knobby stuff on it. My 522 forearm is smooth to the hands.

I'll give that some thought when I get my hands on it... "A couple months from now". I really struck out trying to find one locally. I don't like buying outside of my local guys. I'll wait... impatiently.

I hear what youre saying, and I buy local first also.. BUT.. if they dont, or wont stock it, buying elsewhere shows them that they've lost a sale, due to not having 'said goodie". obviously, id give them a chance to get one for you, but if the "can't" get it, (at a reasonable price), I shop elsewhere. I have two shops that I go to, so usually if one place doesnt have it, the other will. if NEITHER have it, ill do what I have to.

I gave that some thought. I did some Googling but really didn't see much availability for a Sig522 SWAT. A couple were for sale as a Spec Ed Set with a 556. But that was over $2k for the package. Benton Shooters (they are a pretty big independent player in the South East) said they would check around to see if they could pick one up elsewhere. They treated me right on the 15-22 when no one else could get their hands on em back in October. I guess I'll have something to look forward to this spring. Plus I still got some open rail space on the 15-22

Yes, R522 is the "SWAT" model with the matching 556. I guess some of the sets were broke up and sold separately. "Out of Stock" was pretty much the message I was getting during my searches too.
