S&W 150th Schofield

Hello! Has anybody seen the subject gun on Gunbroker? I am considering buying it, but I didn't know they existed before yesterday. I was ready to buy a Performance Center Schofield engraved for 4500, but this looks like a much better deal. Did they really only make 150 of these guns? I can't find that info anywhere.

S&W made about 2,000 of the Schofield models in 2000 - 2001. Of these, a few were the short barrel version and a few were engraved. All were chambered for the .45 S&W cartridge. This is a different cartridge than the .45 Long Colt. Hope this helps.

Why spend that kind of dough on a gun you won't shoot? The .45 S&W is essentially a .45 Colt "shortened" You can use the same dies re-adjusted and its an easy cartridge to reload.
