S&W 1905 model

I have a S&W revolver.38 special, I believe it is model 1905 M&P, serial number 345233 located at the bottom of the grip, the barrel reads, in the right side ".38 S. & W. SPECIAL CTG", on the left side, SMITH & WESSON and on the top SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD…………………... has a fifth screw in the front of the TRIGGER GUARD, I would like to know date of manufacture and if I can use FACTORY ammo, without problems

345233 would have been shipped around 1920-21. Modern ammo. should be OK, depending on the mechanical condition of the revolver. Ed.
