Hello, I have been pulling the little hair I have left out trying to find the windage screw for the 1905 Target. According to others the screw should be a #3-80. I can not find one anywhere and I also can not find a rear sight to strip parts from. ANY help would be appreciated. Thanks

Looked at other K frame models and none are setup for a flat blade insert. I have tried other revolver manufacturers as well. As many of these that were produced there should be a paint can full of parts somewhere!

Sounds like an excuse to run out and buy another 1905 target to use until you find a screw. Gun Shows, I cruse the gun shows looking for guys that have junk boxes, etc and pick up old rear Smith sights. So far I've picked up 3, 22/32 heavy frame 22 rear sights. Usually for next to nothing because the vendor doesn't know what they go to and they have nothing in it because they bought out an old gun shop for next to nothing when the old boy retired.
The local gun shop has a gunsmith and I dig thru his sight box for any part I need. I picked up a not factory nickel 1948 K 22 that the trigger, hammer and rear sight had been nickeled. Went up to see Bobby and dug thru his box and found a correct blued rear sight. $15.00

If you come across the #3-80 screws (there is one on each side of the sight) get in touch! Thanks!

What is the serial number of the gun? i assume this is a 2-screw rear sight assembly, and the blade is removed by loosening the windage screws and pulling it out of the top of the rear sight base?

You are correct Sir. The serial number is 809860. I got a Kings Blade sight to fit in and just need the correct screw for one side. If I could get a few of them I would be a happy camper!! Thanks

Cannot help with the screw, but just wanted to tell you that those stocks are very scarce. The large silver medallion stocks were only used for a short time, maybe just 1930. One seldom sees them, and most look like this.

Thanks for the info Gary, I noticed they were different and just figured it was an option from the factory. Just one screw short of a complete gun. And also my sanity...

Well the number on the grip frame at the bottom is 809870 but inside the crain it is 16160. No other numbers...
