I received the same model as a retirement gift earlier this year. I'm still breaking the gun in but so far have had no stoppages or other issues.
Trigger pull is the best I've ever felt on a 1911 style pistol "out of the box"......it was 3.5 pounds, with no creep, take up, etc. Fit and finish are excellent.

Hope you enjoy it.

I also have one and really like it. All four of my S&W 1911s are great.

Being hand-fit, everything is tight - in some cases, REAL tight. The Briley barrel bushing fits so tightly into the slide and onto the barrel that removing and reinstalling it can be challenging. The black coating on the barrel hood will become scuffed quickly; I polished the coating off my barrel hood but left it on the rest of the barrel and I think it looks better that way.

Overall, it is a super gun!

I love everything about mine. It's accurate, functions 100% so far (about 2000 rounds) and in the crowded field of 1911's it's an excellent choice that I have not regretted. I'm confident you will be very happy with it.

I have this 1911PC Round Butt and really like it. Excellent shooter, easy to carry
I carry it often and often have it by the bed for home defense.
The only thing that bugs me about it is that S&W says the magazines are special to the gun. Meaning if I want more, I have to order these special ones from S&W.

I'm disappointed in mine. Bought it new in the box and couldn't get it to group worth a dang. Bought it on a thurs, fired it on Saturday and shipped it back to the Performance Center to look at it on a Monday. They Held it a month before returning; not sure what they did to it but accuracy is still not what I expect from a PC. Alas...

Mine shoots any government length 1911 magazines fine....numerous different brands....

I purchased one brand new last year and sold it a week later. The Briley barrel bushing fits to tight IMHO making disassembly almost impossible. I also had many light primer hits. Second attempt always fired but I had no confidence in carrying it. What attracted me to purchase it in the first place was the light weight and well balanced feel in my hand. I have since bought the S&W 1911 SC Commander with the rounded butt and could not of been happier with it. This "hand fitting" process is only as good as the assembler! My guy must of been new on the job??
Here is the link to my posting when I purchased the 1911 SC.

My E-Series 1911Sc and both my of my PC guns, a 5" PC .45ACP and 5" DK-edition.38 Super, function just fine with Kimber and Wilson magazines. I'm sure other would work but those are the only ones I've tried.
