S&W 1911 Recall

I have read that there was a recall on the 1911 due to a pin coming loose a locking the action. Can someone tell/show me where it is and if there is a ser# range to look for?

Current Safety Recalls

Old recall on very early guns. Not very likely that you'll run across one.

Yep, I have an early S&W 1911 ser# 036X and am waiting to hear back from S&W as we speak. I hope it is an easy fix.

The normal procedure is for S&W to pay to have the gun shipped back to them for service... and pay to return it to you... all nice clean, quick and easy.

For warranty work, 7-8 day turn around is not unusual...
