S&W 1980s Police Shotguns

I am a retired police officer and I could swear there was a time in the 1980s that our department had a handfull of S&W shotguns in our armory. Am I mistaken or if they did exist what model were they and can they be found? Thanks.

Might have been the 916A.. Had a few of them as they were $50 to $75 each in the early '80's. Kyle
